The country is beginning to resume activities in a very gradual and organized manner. It is known that the scenario will not be as it was before the pandemic; we will need to restructure and also adapt. During this adaptation, occupational health and safety are issues that will need to be reviewed by business owners from now on. This applies regardless of their economic sector or company size. Health and safety go hand in hand

At this moment, any and all care regarding health and safety at work is not an exaggeration. The situation that Brazil and the world find themselves in regarding the virus is one of great caution. Furthermore, it is the responsibility of all Brazilians to act in a way to combat contagion by Covid-19. We understand that a portion of the population can work from home (home office) peacefully, but not everyone can adopt this format or maintain isolation for so long. The movement of people must be monitored and accompanied. The basic rules of combating the virus must also be followed and applied.

Search for reliable sources of information

Nowadays there is no shortage of information, right? However, the volume of fake news is also quite frequent. To avoid problems with news considered fake, the best thing to do is consult official bodies. Below, we leave some links you can use to organize the resumption of your company's activities: • Anvisa – Actions of the National Health Surveillance Agency regarding the coronavirus

• Ministry of Health – Exclusive portal about the coronavirus

• Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) / World Health Organization (WHO) – COVID-19 information sheet

In addition to national references and official news regarding pandemic care, the city halls of each city, together with the Health Surveillance, will create new protocols and recommendations. This will vary based on each scenario presented by states and municipalities. Governors and mayors take different measures according to each situation, so the rules vary from one city to another. For this reason, it is very important to consult the official websites of the city hall and the state government where your company is located. Avoid penalties to your business and ensure health and safety at work for employees.

Understand the specific regulations of your company's segment

Depending on your company's segment, the risks of contracting the coronavirus may differ. This will depend on each activity and vary greatly in terms of customer service, type of product, loading and unloading, space organization, and many other issues. Try to stay informed regarding the recommendations directed to your business segment. As previously mentioned, seek information on official websites such as the Ministry of Labor, Anvisa, or even with associations in your economic sector. This way, you can quickly and safely update yourself on prevention processes exclusive to your company, ensuring greater effectiveness.

Guide customers, suppliers, and contractors

Depending on your company's segment, the movement of people may be inevitable. With this in mind, people entering the company need to be properly guided. Everyone's health must be prioritized and guaranteed. To minimize the chances of contagion, there must be guidance from the moment they enter. Indeed, if necessary, have PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) available, such as masks and 70% alcohol gel, also outside the company. Prioritize and protect the integrity of everyone who enters your company.

Follow the basic guidelines

Some occupational health and safety instructions are common to any type of company. Therefore, do not underestimate them. Provide a protected environment for everyone who frequents the workplace: • Wash hands regularly;

• Use a mask or tissue;

• Respect the social distance of 1.5 meters;

• Frequently sanitize objects, surfaces, and doorknobs;

• Avoid crowds;

• Quarantine for 14 days in case of recent travel;

• Adhere to alternating shifts;

• Keep environments open and ventilated;

• Suspend the sharing of dishes;

• Make 70% alcohol gel and PPE available.

So, how is your company doing with the resumption of activities? Take this opportunity to standardize your processes, protect your employees, and keep up with the health inspection regulations of your city and region. #AllAgainstTheVirus
